Get ahead of the coming updates and set yourself apart from your competitors. The next wave of Residential Tenancies Amendments will be upon us before the end of 2025.

This time around the amendments are largely administrative in nature, with some new and extended requirements around Minimum Standards and Smoke Alarms.

An underquoting refresher with a difference

This is not a theory session! We'll start with a sold result and work all the way back to appraisal, unpacking the most common misinterpretations and misfires as we go. It's like being in an inspector's shoes, and the view is quite different with the benefit of hindsight.
From SOIs to OFIs, and comparable sales to cautionary tales, we'll cover it all. Participants will gain a deeper, applied understanding of the legislation and its interpretation as well as CAV's current areas of concern, taking actionable tips and insights back to the office.

 

The afternoon session is targeted to property managers and leasing agents dealing with Commercial Properties.
The Retail Leases Legislation applies to a significant number of Commercial Properties and there are specific requirements that need to be addressed when leasing and managing these types of tenancies.

 

The session will cover the important parts of the Legislation including:
- What type of properties fall under the Retail Leases Legislation
- Difference between Commercial and Retail
- Documents required to be provided and timing
- Lease Option notices including timing and important provisions that must be contained within the documents
- Estimate of outgoings, statement of outgoings and audit implications
- Repairs and maintenance

 

All sessions also include question time with the speaker.
