Overview
This course aims to provide key skills and knowledge required to be successful in the industry of Owners Corporation Management. It provides insights, strategies and practical examples that will help to develop and maintain professional standards.
At the conclusion of this course participants should be able to:
• Define the major forms of multi-unit ownership in Victoria from 1950 to 2009
• List advantages and disadvantages of each form of multi-unit ownership
• Apply the Subdivision Act 1988, the Owners Corporations Act 2006 and Owners Corporations Regulations 2018 with regard to specific examples of Owners Corporation management
• Interpret subdivision plans
• Identify boundaries of common property
• Describe lot entitlement
• Describe lot liability
• Develop efficient office procedures for recording and maintaining all relevant information for a specific Owners Corporation
• Identify the duties, rights and responsibilities of the lot owner
• Identify the duties and powers of the Owners Corporation
